We are looking for new board members
Thinking of giving back? With some of our current board stepping down after the AGM, we are looking for dedicated individuals who want to join our board in 2025 and serve as stewards and advocates for Squamish climbing. We will hold a vote at the AGM to decide the 11 board members, and those elected will serve for 2 years.
About the board:
Board members contribute to specific committees according to their skills and interests, but also steer the general direction of the society by voting on spending and other key decisions. It is important for the board to be representative of Squamish climbers in general, with a diversity in perspectives and backgrounds but a shared love for climbing.
Board member responsibilities:
Attend board meetings to provide and hear updates, and vote on actions and spending. Board meetings can be online or in person, and provisional dates for 2025 are February 18th, April 1st, May 13th, June 24th, August 5th, September 30th, November 25th, January 20th. These are flexible in the event of scheduling issues.
