Area 44 parking
BCTS has informed SAS that starting in June, log hauling is going to commence 7 days/week on the Swift Creek FSR. The entrance of the Swift Creek FSR has been the traditional parking area for Area 44 and the Pillary. No parking signs have been posted here since last year but have been largely ignored. However, the Ministry of Transportation and BCTS have stated that this area will need to be clear to allow long log loads to complete wide right turns safely onto Highway 99. Parking at the entrance of Swift Creek FSR during this period may result in your vehicle being towed, potentially damaged, and present a public safety risk to Highway 99 traffic. Please use the viewpoint lot 150 m to the north to avoid these potential actions. We will update this message when hauling starts up.
