Join The SAS 2026 Board
Interested in giving back to the climbing community? With several board members stepping down at the AGM, the Squamish Access Society is looking for 5 engaged, community-minded individuals to join our board for 2026–2028. Nominations due by Fri, Feb 6, 2026.
Board members serve as stewards and advocates for climbing access in Squamish. Elections for five board positions will take place at the AGM, and each term is two years.
What does the board do?
Board members help guide the direction of SAS by contributing to committees aligned with their interests and skills, and by voting on spending, priorities, and key decisions. We strive for a board that reflects the diversity of the Squamish climbing community, bringing different perspectives together through a shared love of climbing and access stewardship.
Time commitment & responsibilities:
Attend approximately 6-7 board meetings per year (a mix of online and in-person; dates are flexible)
Contribute to assigned roles or committees
Stay informed about local issues affecting climbing
