Golden Scrub Awards timing change

The Golden Scrub Brush awards event, which honours new route development in Squamish, was launched by Chris Small in 2014 and has run each year since. Last year the event was a joint venture with Climb On. The event has been very popular. However several people have questioned the annual frequency, and suggested that it is too often relative to the number of new routes being completed. Furthermore, Chris wants to take a break from running the event this year. After consideration by the SAS board and discussions with Climb On, we have decided to move the GSBA to a biennial basis. So the next event would be in fall 2019. We hope to institutionalise a different style of social event in the fall of non-GSBA years.

Thanks again to Chris for his work on the awards in the past.
